Analysis
The integration moves consumer credit information into a general-purpose AI interface, creating a new access channel rather than a new bureau score. Users authorize the connection and can manage it through Google’s Personal Intelligence settings. Experian says consumers will continue to access their FICO Score 8 directly through Experian’s website or app and notes that a lender may use another score or model. That distinction is important: an AI explanation can help a consumer interpret factors, but it should not imply that the displayed score is the score a creditor will use. Governance questions include the data fields exposed, retention and deletion, consent revocation, prompt and response logging, prevention of cross-account leakage, accuracy of explanations, handling of disputes and whether conversational recommendations are clearly separated from credit-report facts. Experian says subscription-cancellation capabilities may be added later; that is a plan, not a current feature.
