Piedmont Bancorp, Inc. was the Atlanta-based parent of The Piedmont Bank, acquired by United Bankshares on January 10, 2025.
The acquisition was United’s 34th. The completion release said the former Piedmont offices would operate under the United Bankshares trade name.
