Palantir builds software platforms for integrating, managing and securing data and for human-driven, machine-assisted analysis. Its official Platforms page says the products serve as central operating systems for customers across the public, private and nonprofit sectors.
Reuters reported September 28 that activist investor Jana Partners sent Fiserv a letter urging it to raise its previously announced $500 million cost-savings goal to $1.25 billion by 2029, use Palantir technology more broadly, and announce a higher target with its third-quarter results. Jana also called for a review of Fiserv’s businesses. Fiserv did not immediately comment to Reuters; the company has not announced that it accepted the proposals.
