JANA Partners is an investment firm founded in 2001 by Barry Rosenstein. Its stated approach is active, constructive shareholder engagement intended to create value in undervalued public companies for investors and stakeholders.
JANA Partners is an investment firm and activist-investment manager, not a bank; the official Terms of Use identifies the site operator as JANA Partners Management, LP and its affiliates.
Reuters reported September 28 that activist investor Jana Partners sent Fiserv a letter urging it to raise its previously announced $500 million cost-savings goal to $1.25 billion by 2029, use Palantir technology more broadly, and announce a higher target with its third-quarter results. Jana also called for a review of Fiserv’s businesses. Fiserv did not immediately comment to Reuters; the company has not announced that it accepted the proposals.
