Fiserv’s digital-asset platform goes live with Roughrider Coin →

Fiserv says its digital-asset platform is now live with financial-institution clients. The first use case is Bank of North Dakota’s dollar-backed Roughrider Coin, issued by VersaBank and processed on Solana. Fiserv says more than 90 North Dakota banks and credit unions can participate; public materials do not report how many are already transacting or transaction volumes.

Jana urges Fiserv to expand cost cuts and use Palantir technology →

Reuters reported September 28 that activist investor Jana Partners sent Fiserv a letter urging it to raise its previously announced $500 million cost-savings goal to $1.25 billion by 2029, use Palantir technology more broadly, and announce a higher target with its third-quarter results. Jana also called for a review of Fiserv’s businesses. Fiserv did not immediately comment to Reuters; the company has not announced that it accepted the proposals.
