Enron

Also known as Enron Corp., Enron Corporation, InterNorth, InterNorth, Inc., Enron Creditors Recovery Corp.

Enron developed from natural-gas pipelines into energy trading and investment before filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in December 2001.

This is a historical corporate record. InterNorth became Enron in 1986; the reorganized company changed its name to Enron Creditors Recovery Corp. in March 2007. Separately incorporated counterparties and subsidiaries retain their own identities.
