Amazon reportedly explores $8 billion Nvidia-chip financing vehicle →

The Financial Times reported on October 2 that Amazon is discussing moving roughly $8 billion of Nvidia Grace Blackwell chips into a special-purpose vehicle and leasing the equipment back. The vehicle would issue debt to outside investors; Amazon could offer investors up to a 10% equity stake without owning an interest itself. The chips are reportedly deployed across more than 12 U.S. data centers in five states. Discussions are continuing, terms could change and Amazon declined to comment.
